I put this 99 ron in my reliable no turbos to blow, no IC to rot away, no countless other turbo problems NA and it didnt really make any difference. Perhaps it starts a bit quicker?

You missed out no acceleration, no top speed, no kudos :D

Regular unleaded at local Tesco 84.9 and half a mile away at nearest BP 98.9 for Ultimate. That's about 68p (!!!!!) a gallon dearer to wheel spin even more on the slippery roads this time of the year.

ENOUGH SAID!!

Woo hoo! My local (Dunstable) store now has it!

There was another thread about people changing from Optimax to BP ultimate and not getting the cold start-up smoke anymore...I've been using Tesco 99 ron for about three weeks. I started he up this morning and looked for the startup smoke I used to get.....NO SMOKE!!!!!! (I used to use craptimax before) :)

lol! I went to Dunstable tesco 2 weeks ago....97 ron....popped in today...they've changed it to 99!!:ecstatic:

Good stuff - went past yesterday, but I couldn't quite see if they had it. Didn't see any super high figures on the price board though - is it fairly cheap?

Crikey moses I've found some in Leeds!

New Tesco Express has taken over a BP site, they have the 99 stuff.

A639 between Stourton & Rothwell, 90.9p a litre.

I wish I'd read this sooner. Where exactly is this Tesco place? Is it just up from First Direct or am I thinking of the wrong area?

  • 4 weeks later...
I'm sure it's now been rolled out to all their stores?

88.9p/l here!

Do they make it obvious with big signs etc?

Went to mine but it was extremely busy and I couldn't see anything.

Do all the pumps have the 99 ron stuff, cannot imagine they would have a spare nozzle on each pump?
