toyotasuprauk
Its not very good, it increases your octane by about 0.2 and is expensive. Waste of money IMO. Just get some Tesco 99 ron.

JohnA
It can (potentially!) boost the octane level of the fuel by (up to!) a few (decimal!) points So 95RON could become 95.x RON if you drop in a couple of bottles and your fuel tank is not very full (or else it's totally diluted and you don't get jack) Customs & excise don't bother to tax them, so that gives you an idea of their value in the 'fuel' chain. They will tax you if you fill your diesel tank with used oil from the chippie - to put things into perspective!

tepster
The NOS stuff in halfrauds is 20 quid a go. In makro its 9.99 plus vat.... Add in some tesco 99ron 91p a litre and its time to switch to mental mode!
JohnA
If you're talking about the 'NOS' octane booster then yes, it's one of the very few ones that do something. It's closer to pure toluene/xylene than the other jokes (which all have to be legal, so can't use any nasty chemicals as they would need to) Still, the price is waaaay off because you'd really need a few bottles mixed in a full tank.
