Go into BFHQ and choose Weapons (or kit or soemthing) and it'll show you each character class, you cycle through them with arrow buttons. You can unlock a class's extra weapon from there.

 

Don't forget to choose it when you join a game as well

You can own with Helicopters just as long as no gits sneak in the AA or you're up against shit-hot pilots.

grrr, just put all the visual options to lowest (the only one that wasnt already was texture) and my problem has gone away! nwe graphics card needed me thinks!

I found a gaming mouse made a huge difference to the game as far as accuracy goes, I opted for the Razer Diamondback Plasma (mainly drawn by the blue lights if I'm honest), it's 1600dpi and has a load of settings you can configure for game use, 2400dpi mice are available now too (and probably better) - definately worth a look if you are using an OEM one at present.

 

I bought a solid plastic mouse 'mat' too, another 'gaming' special at inflated money but it seems to do the trick

Thats what I have too. I have an Icemat made of glass for my mousemat.

 

I know how to use the guided missiles now, they're awesome as long as you have a pilot who knows that you want to use them.

Saitek usually make good joysticks.

does unlocking weapon let you use it in multiplayer games? I only got basic armor unlocked

That basic armour badge wont unlock guns, you need to progress ranks to get new weapons, and buy the Special Forces mod too, that can enable you to get others.

the unlocked weapons can be used on public servers?

Yeah. You can also use these weapons off the people you shoot, if you pick up their kits

I've been playing this for a few days now and have made my first rank - but haven't unlocked any weapons yet. At what point do you start unlocking weapons? and what is "no bunnyhopping, no base raping"???

bunnyhopping = keeps jumping until you can't get a clear shot

base raping = keeps killing you where you are spawned

Isn't bunnyhopping where you exploit a fault in the game engine by using the jump button to achieve faster than normal speeds? You hop around at lighting fast speeds.

You cant do that in BF dave, you could do in games like Quake.

 

So what if you jump about, thats part of the game to avoid getting shot, what bugs me is when people use vehicles as taxis or tk for vehicles.. so sad.

There are some people who even complain if you use the grenade launcher to kill??? well its a gun in the game, get over it

It was crazy the other day when I was support and had the chain fed machine gun. The guy was about 5m in front and I emptied an entire belt and I ended up dying, cause he was jumping around and it seemed to miss him

There is dodgy hit detection, hopefully this will be fixed in later patches. I know exactly what you're saying though.. like the countless missiles I've fired at on coming vehicles and they've gone straight through
