Ian C
Go into BFHQ and choose Weapons (or kit or soemthing) and it'll show you each character class, you cycle through them with arrow buttons. You can unlock a class's extra weapon from there. Don't forget to choose it when you join a game as well -Ian
osso
Just been playing battlefield! im flying the choppers a little better now, just wish my gunners could use their TV Missles!
Bobbeh
Hehe yeah, I'm still not great with the missles, I think you really need a joystick to properly direct them. The mouse is too un-responsive. You can own with Helicopters just as long as no gits sneak in the AA or you're up against shit-hot pilots. The mouse is too un-responsive. I found a gaming mouse made a huge difference to the game as far as accuracy goes, I opted for the Razer Diamondback Plasma (mainly drawn by the blue lights if I'm honest), it's 1600dpi and has a load of settings you can configure for game use, 2400dpi mice are available now too (and probably better) - definately worth a look if you are using an OEM one at present. I bought a solid plastic mouse 'mat' too, another 'gaming' special at inflated money but it seems to do the trick Geez I miss BF2!
China Man
got mine today and special force as well. no sleep tonight ! China

Thats what I have too. I have an Icemat made of glass for my mousemat. I know how to use the guided missiles now, they're awesome as long as you have a pilot who knows that you want to use them. China Man
I think I need a joystick for pilot anyone knows a good one? Question for you lots, sniper rifle only have one level of zoom?? I am such a noobie
Bobbeh
Saitek usually make good joysticks. I think the sniper rifles only have one zoom level. Keep it simple Got the M95 yet? That makes for great sniping fun
China Man
only been playing for 1 day and mostly on mutliplayer ones does unlocking weapon let you use it in multiplayer games? I only got basic armor unlocked
Bobbeh
That basic armour badge wont unlock guns, you need to progress ranks to get new weapons, and buy the Special Forces mod too, that can enable you to get others.
China Man
I got the special forces disk here but havent installed it yet. the unlocked weapons can be used on public servers?
Bobbeh
Yeah. You can also use these weapons off the people you shoot, if you pick up their kits

Ian C
Bobbeh, pop along to: 85.236.101.26 Port 16567 and say hi I'm not on there that often but a few of the FMJS guys are and as long as you stick to the rules (no bunnyhopping, no base raping) then it's a fun place. -Ian
Bobbeh
I try to stick to the rules I like the Black Watch server, thats cool.... Multiplay ones and EA's official servers, usually get good pings on those of
Shovels
I've been playing this for a few days now and have made my first rank - but haven't unlocked any weapons yet. At what point do you start unlocking weapons? and what is "no bunnyhopping, no base raping"???
China Man
bunnyhopping = keeps jumping until you can't get a clear shot base raping = keeps killing you where you are spawned
Aerotop Dave
Isn't bunnyhopping where you exploit a fault in the game engine by using the jump button to achieve faster than normal speeds? You hop around at lighting fast speeds.
Bobbeh
You cant do that in BF dave, you could do in games like Quake. So what if you jump about, thats part of the game to avoid getting shot, what bugs me is when people use vehicles as taxis or tk for vehicles.. so sad. Interesting link/discussion about it here: http://forums.filefront.com/archive/index.php/t-211643.html There are some people who even complain if you use the grenade launcher to kill??? well its a gun in the game, get over it
Shovels
It was crazy the other day when I was support and had the chain fed machine gun. The guy was about 5m in front and I emptied an entire belt and I ended up dying, cause he was jumping around and it seemed to miss him
Bobbeh
There is dodgy hit detection, hopefully this will be fixed in later patches. I know exactly what you're saying though.. like the countless missiles I've fired at on coming vehicles and they've gone straight through
