another tip, turn off your antivirus scanner, depending on what antivirus scanner you have, you may need to turn it off from windows services as well! otherwise it will always be on hogging your hard disk while you're playing!

another tip, close down all your instant messenger services, they eat memory! especially msn messenger which uses over 150 megs, also disable or turn off any unnecessary applications that run on startup. including peer to peer crap. :D

Have you installed all the latest BF2 patches?

Maybe get the latest graphics card driver to?

I've had these problems sometimes. Its usually happens when the player hasnt registered on their network correctly.

It might be worth forcing a new config file too, try changing some controls, save the changes and launch the game again, and make sure your patches are all installed.

Dont worry though, I'm convinced this is a server side bug because most times it works fine and I only get it occasionally.

Sometimes when I jump into vehicles it gives me a weird perspective and wont let me shoot, or when I get onto a server it has problems with walking/running.. odd :)

it was funny last night. i jumped into a jeep thing, went for a spin, run over some chinese people. got round a corner and drove straight into the back of a tank. thought damn i better reverse. but then my dude decided to have a tea break, the controls froze, and all i could do was watch the tank turret turn round and blast me into a squillion pieces :(

Hehe :D

I had fun in a HUMVEE, I rammed some guy in a jeep into a wall, pinning him there, then jumped on the gun and shot him and his car to bits..... sadly when it blew up it took me with him :read:

Its kinda fun loading up your humvee with C4's and drive your humvee into an enemy base, jump out, and press the detonator switch, and blow everybody up! but remember you only have 5 packs of C4, and not 6 otherwise you'll blow yourself up instead :D not that i condone iraqi suicide bombers! :p

Lol I do that all the time. Really annoying though when you go to hit the C4trigger when surrounded by bandits but you get shot in the back of the head trying to run out of your own blast zone before you can detonate.
