Marco
I just got a call from the garage where my car is at the moment. The battery from my alarm is flat and it cant remember the code. I've asked them to replace the battery but apparently you can't do that. It's an old unit... (Toad AI606) So I need to replace my entire alarm system with another one because of a flat battery!? Damn Anyone had the same problem?

Damn Anyone had the same problem? Thats right, the only battery that the alarm has is the battery back-up in the siren. (as well as the battery on the remote) The alarm will still work without the siren, the siren just makes the noise only. And the Toad Ai606 is still a current model from Toad. Marco
Thanks for the replies! If the only battery in the system is the siren one, why doesnt it remember the code? It might be the fob battery afterall? I'll go and pick up my car today (hopefully) and I'll take my spare fob with me. See if that does the trick
supRo
It's probably the fob then. If you get stuck, give my mate Phil a ring Ro

Marco
It's all fine now! I took my spare alarm fob and it worked straight away. So I just have to replace the battery in the other one. Thanks again for helping out guys
