Guest Terry S
BKR7E and BCPR7ES are EXACTLY the same plug, the ONLY difference is that the BKR7E have a standard size plug end, and BCPR7ES have a slightly larger end (ooh-err) - so basically if you have tired/old coil packs the latter may be a better idea, otherwise either will be fine! As for iridiums, if you're detting I think breaking £50 worth of plugs is the least of your worries TBH!! Really, think of the damage the ceramic can do. The car will take some detting without any damage. All it takes is one bad batch of fuel. Not slating iridiums, they are a great idea, just trying to save you lot some grief from our experience. I use NGK anyway, mainly because I never have enough money to 'waste' on spark plugs when there's a perfectly reasonable set for a lot less!! But also because a lot of diagnosis threads seem to involve "I changed the plugs again just to be sure!" or something similar - don't fancy doing that with IK24s!!! Dont get me wrong you dont want det, just that the engine will cope with some depending how bad.
