Lazarus
Following on from WSB2's unfortunate pulley "explosion", I've noticed in the last couple of days that my Auxillary drive belt tensioner has started to screech a bit, probably about to seize. (Its definately the pulley, not the belt) Does anyody know if the bearing in the pulley can be relubricated? (ie. not a sealed unit) Or, failing that, any of you guy's with an EPC give me a part number for a new one please?
Whitesupraboy2
by way i have the failed bit and i will try to take a pic. It is now clear the arm didnt infact break.....it was the actual 3/4 thick stud on the bit that mounts to the block....good to know isnt it it snapped off right on base of the stud that the arm goes on When i enquired about the bit it was around £94 if i remember correctly and it is the whole thing (block mounting + arm) not sure if you can buy the pulley on end of the arm seperatly...id hope you can. rolli
hi , ive got the same problem with my pulley needing a replacement bearing .Please could you let me have the details of the bearing cheers
David P
This bearing is not the same size with all variations, a plastic wheel has a different size bearing to a steel wheel and the tensioner arms come in different flavours too.
rolli
Mine is a steel pulley on a 93 n/a auto import. I will have to take apart and measure it up.
