Pete
Nice garden Teminator. My parents house has loads of rare birds and wildlife, it's quite amazing to see. Red Woodpeckers and other stuff I've never heard of. Birds in the loft are a nightmare! Middle of the night, scratch scratch scratch. Squark...argh! gregsupra4
Managed to do it 2 times on saturday !!! Now going to have a big party to celebrate that I managed to do it 2 times. After the party I am going to contact the local rag and let them know I managed to do it 2 times. All in all doing it 2 times for someone of my age is not at all bad. Next year I will try for three times. What did I manage to do 2 times ? Compete and complete both local charity's 10 mile fun runs.
Tannhauser
Just your average Sunday starting with an awe inspiring moment I can?t remember the last time night time temperatures dipped so low in November, quite a frost start today. Just after dawn this morning, when just the top metre of all of the tallest trees were bathed in a soft orange glow, I saw an amazing sight. Gathering together to bathe in the first rays of warming sunlight, I saw a huge number of different species of birds. It was particularly incredible to see bird species that normally would not tolerate being in close proximity, almost side by side on the top most twigs all facing and basking in the early golden sunlight. I watched for about ten minutes before collecting my camera. When I returned, but before I had switched the camera on the tree top air was full of birds flying in all directions. Within a few seconds there were only a few solitary pigeons left. May be I have just not look at the right time, but I don?t think I can recall seeing this spectacle before. A really great start to the day, unfortunately the only pic I took was too late, but does give some idea of the colours and the atmosphere just after dawn minus birds. This morning got squirrels out of my loft by playing Metallica at 200 watts per chanel after putting speakers in the loft, followed by 6 hours of white noise. Meshed up the holes they had chewed to stop them getting back in. God help them if they come back. Oh and almost forgot, cut down the runners on a RB25 manifold for a custom plenum. Cliff what glue do you use? I want to try it on squirrels! Missed this post. Such poetry in your soul, Phil. Nice photo, too. Glue won't work with squirrels, you need nails. About eight 6" ones per squirrel holds them nice and firm. Cliff
