400BHP
I dont know if anyone else has had this problem or indeed noticed it, but if I lift my bootlid and look in the gap between the top (where hinges are) and the bodywork it looks a bit like its going rusty. I want mu bootlid removed and this area treated and resprayed so can anyone recommend a good bodyman (shop) where I can get this done reasonably? Closer to me the better. Ta! lovatt
mine has also gone the same and i am shortly going to be doing mine at work. by the looks of it the problem is thin paint from the factory that eventually lets the eliments through. not a hard job but i would recomend the tailgate off to do it properly. i think DUDE is down you way but any reasonable body shop should be able to do this
toyotasuprauk
Dude is in Newhaven, East Sussex and obviously good at his job you can tell that from his own car. Else if you want someone a bit closer to you, then you could try total motor care in Sandwich, Kent if that's any closer to you? More details on their web site: http://www.totalmotorcare.co.uk Adrian
Matt Harwood
I know of a place in Chatham that churns out some really good work and the guy is really proud of his work/reputation... The downside is that they are always stacked out!
Supra_Al
This is a very common AFAIK, mine's not rusty as such but did look a bit discoloured. What i done was to spray the area you mention with black 'Waxoyl'.As my car is black anyway, you cannot see any discolouration, job done. If you are concerned with yours, and it's not 'rusty' as such, you could do the same. You can buy it in 'clear' as well, from past use i know this stuff to be superb and provides a water proof coating from the elements.Al. P.S. Waxoyl, is available from Halfrauds and most other motor shops from around £6.00 (spray on tin) Edited due to poor spelling.

400BHP
let me know how you get on and what it looks like. I'd rather remove the rust though before it develops rather than just coat it in waxoyl...

We are talking Toyota here! ........Mine never had any blistering, otherwise i would of got a bodyshop to sort. As said, it tends to 'discolour' first,.....not talking about 'crunchy' rust! Al.
