400BHP
Hi guys, I want to mount a fire extinguisher on my tranny tunnel passenger side, but i'm worried because some manufacturers run brake lines, fuel pipes etc in there, do you know if there is any such routing on that side? I'm thinking of mounting it just in front of the seat at full slide forward about 3-4 inches down from the centre console
JamesG
As far as I'm aware, the only wires there is the plastic loom that goes to the stock amp under the passenger seat. But definitely look for yourself first. It's dead easy to undo a bit of trim and pull the carpet up. ...edited to say. I don't know about the inside! Doh! James. Matt Harwood
I'm fairly sure theres nothing under the car to worry about but its definatly worth looking underneath to check as I mounted a bracket in an MR2 once and found I'd mounted it to the fuel tank as well
Need4Speed
Sod's Law says if you drill blind, something will be there! I mounted mine on the back of the rear seat. When I run on the track I have the seat folded and it's easily accessible, normally it's just out of sight in the boot.

The tank sits about 10mm away from the tunnel and the tip of the screw have just punctured it by 1mm - Typical! - I spent the next 4 hours repairing it! Always worth checking
