Kip
Just curious to know how many guys (males) in the club can cook? By that I mean 'cook', not just capable of throwing eggs and bacon together. And what is your fave dish to cook. This may seem rather random, but I have just had a conversation with some colleagues that recon it's the wife's job and wouldn't go near the kitchen - is this fear or do they see it as too girlie? More to the point how many of the ladies - was going to say in the club! - that post can cook and enjoy cooking?

Digsy
Good lord, its nearly 2006 ffs. Of course its not girlie for a bloke to cook - and everyone knows the chicks love it I really like cooking but I seldom have the time to put a proper meal together these days. When I get my dream house I'll have a massive dining room with a teppenyaki grill in it As for a favourite dish to cook? God knows. Probably my greatest recent cooking achievement was doing a proper paella from raw ingredients bought at a local market, Floyd style over a gas stove on a drizzly campsite in York. I very rarely use jars or packet mixes or stuff like that. Mind you, if its just me on my own of an evening I'm equally happy with a pizza or something typically batchelor-ey. Scoboblio
Can't cook, won't cook Ok so I'd love to learn, but there's going to have to be a big motivator for me to do it! (and by that I don't mean a 30 stone woman).
Lewis
can and do - the mrs is working for al qaida and it is her mission to destroy the west through her cooking so it's safer if I do it

Pete
I'll be doing xmas dinner this year. Starting with Hoi Sin Duck pancakes - yummy! Not sure what else to do. Needless to say not your usual turkey. A kind of multi cultural xmas dinner.

JonW
In our house the rule is if you cook then the other one clears up all the mess. Based on this my girlfriend is happy, in fact she demands to do the cooking so that she doesn't have to clear up. For some reason though when I do cook it becomes a treat for her so I shouldn't ruin it by making her wash up......women, can't live with em......can't live with em

Bob
When I have the time, which is quite rare), I love cooking any form of Thai food, though I once made a soup that was so hot it took the lining off the saucepan overnight (I liked it tho!) suprarob
I like making curry my self but having said that my wife usually cooks and see,s it as one of her jobs sometimes when she comes home and I can see she has had a hard day I make her something its usually a stir fry of what ever we have in the fridge Also once a week we get our son in the kitchen and get him to make us some thing all though this usually involves a lot of persuasion and ends up being beens chips and some 'chicken' product
