dam, i havent got a tv near me at the mo, but from something i read a while back, apprently optimax has additives in it that only keep it at 98RON for a small amount of time?? dunno how true this is, but when i had my integra everyone on the form was raving about it, so for a few good months i used it and noticed cock all difference! lol

heard that bp ultimate is better as it stays at 97RON whereas optimax will eventually fall to about 96RON??

discuss! lol

Just realised that thanks to the power of Sky+ I can rewind and find out the figures! For the Scooby it was

optimax 249bhp

bp ultimate 248bhp

supermarket UL 235bhp

Torque was:

optimax 258ft/lbs

bp ultimate 248ft/lbs

supermarket UL 232ft/lbs.

hi laz , just speaking as i find , ive tried optimax and cant see any difference .

sainsburys ul seems to suit my supe

Thats fair enough I suppose, we each base our beliefs on our own experiences.

Although I will have to say I noticed a difference in mine between normal UL and Super (be it Shell, BP, or Tesco), It seems a bit more eager and I found it would "Pink" a bit at high rpm on Normal.

There is a big one with a garage in Batley, I do my shopping there sometimes but generally suffer rage issues and have to leave :)

Batley! Fill up with 99 and then have your car nicked. I'll stick with Optimax rather than riska trip to Batley.

As for shopping rage, ASDA does it for me especially the Wakefield one. I seriously feel some primal urge to kill. Weird.
