Paul
Hi all, I finally got round to fitting my brand new lights today (glass UK). They look great and light the road better as my old ones were full of water the way most uk's go, the only problem is that I have just got in and noticed when putting the car away that the drivers side headlight has bloody condensation on the inside/bottom edge:mad: Have any of you guys that have changed had a problem like this? Thing is, I'm thinking of getting it replaced and seem to remember that Toyota cover spares for a year, I've had them sitting around for 9mths or so! The other problem if I claim off Toyota is I got it from the Salford Quays dealer in Manchester and I live doon sarf, will I be able to exchange at any Toyota dealer or do I have to argue about carraige costs with the one in Manchester? Any help appreciated, Cheers, Paul.
Guest Martin F
Are you sure it's not just moisture built up inside them from sitting on the shelf for 9months ?
Paul
Martin, this is possible I suppose as they were in the loft for all that time. Only one side has some condensation though and I would have thought that the storage condition would affect both the same? I'll have to leave it in the sun with the bulbs out to dry it out and see if it comes back. Any ideas about warranty on Toyota spares if I need to swap it? I've just thought, these headlights were supplied complete with all bulbs fitted so therefore they had all the 'water proof' caps on the back and just required bolting on to car. The way I see it is that they were stored in the same condition as they would have been fitted on the car, less the rain:conf: If they can't stand up to sitting in a box in the loft then I don't give em much chance now there fitted to the car.
