JohnA
Ever since the battery fell below 11.5v some days ago, the alarm refuses to arm. The battery now is 12.8V so it's fully charged, everything works fine. Just the bloody alarm won't work. Does anyone know how to reset the damn thing? Apparently relevant info has been posted and deleted by the moderators, so a search brings nada. Cheers guys
supragold
Could start with checking alarm fuses. Not sure how a fuse could have gone but its somewhere to start. A fuse could stop it from locking the doors and arming.
wez_p
are the doors & boot definitely closed? i was gutted one day after cleaning the car when it just kept unlocking again after i armed it, thinking i'd got water in somewhere - turned out to be the door on the passenger wasn't shut properly & it was letting me know
JohnA
I'm sure it has something to do with the battery voltage going too low. When I was trying to start the car it would go tick-tick-tick-tick and the alarm would try to cry with every tick. It was very sad. Now that the battery is up and running the alarm is playing dead. Surely there must be a procedure to reset the thing. What does the right (red) button do anyway? Or that switch on the side?

Miguel
Dunno if its any help as alarms are not my thing but do you think it could have lost its key code ? worth a thought http://mkiv.com/techarticles/keyless_entry/programming_keyless_entry/index.html
JohnA
I thought that the UKSpec alarm is unique to them (rebadged Scrorpion unit according to some) Therefore what mkiv.com have is irrelevant. Or is this not the case?

Matt Harwood
You could try giving Matt a call on 01622 683044, this will take you through to either his or Ian's mobile phones-but they work together so if you get Ian just ask for Matt.
