Paulie Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 Thought I would put two subjects on at a time here. 1. Is there anyone out there making carbon fibre/brushed aluminium dashboards for the sup? The crappy rubber coating is flaking off mine all over the place and it looks awful and thought a new dash would be just the ticket. 2. Mine also has a crappy looking analogue clock on the dash, I would much rather one of those wonderful digital style ones I have seen on other supra dashes. Is my analogue type clock original kit, or is a digital clock an original piece of kit? Either way I would hate to think that my car has been messed about with too much before I bought it. P.S I would like to recommend the following people for their technical expertise and thankless help:- Alan Turner (The Supraman) has proved invaluable with all supra related problems, and Pete Betts for advice when some potential cowboy messed around with my odo. You should be able to buy a replacement digital clock from Toyota but most people like myself fit a boost gauge in the hole. You can get some tasty indiglo ones. MONKEYmark Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 they changed from digital back to analogue. there is lots of small changes like that on different supras. whats your car got on it mods wise or is it standard a few people have painted there dash to good effect adds a bit of a personal touch, you can get carbon fibre dashboards but for left hand drive american cars. there is supposed to be some jap rhd ones too, never seen one. welcome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you want to make your existing dash look nicer, try some Auto Glym Vinyl & Rubber care on the grey rubbery surface. Mine was a very light grey with chips and scrapes. It totally changes the colour of it to dark grey and looks loads better. It even lasts a long time - I did mine a couple of months ago and it hasn't gone back to the original light grey colour. The cost prices for these is about £150 from Jap land not including vat, delivery etc. I found a few piccies in my collection, ones attached, email me if you want any bigger ones sent over... Gaz. I may try to get it all painted silver, try to source some white dials and get brushed aluminium surrounds for the clocks, that may look good. I think the surrounds can be sourced from whiffbitz, but have no idea where to get the dials from, especially as mine is an auto and has the gear indicator lights there. mos Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 Try the z-centre, ive told somebody about them before so if they got a set maybe they can post. I got a set of silver dials from there. Luke Borg is the guys name and can make dials to any colour with any other colour numbers. There is also a company now who you can send parts to and they will carbon dip them.
