Jap Scene UK
Hi Guys I am running a 1994 J Spec T88 Supra... have just had new 850cc injectors and a New V PRO and remap But whilst mapping the car it appeared we had a major boost problem At .8 Bar /5.5rpm it would almost cause a cut..and would effectivly kill the car.. the lads mapping it said it was the boost controller ..and i should go aay and have aplay with the setup.. So first thing i did was plump the Wastegate in direct (have a Greddy External Unit) so left top port venting and plumed the side port into a boost pressure feed.. have tried from both mnaifold and intercooler pipe.. Initally felt very good..would rev out fully BUT would only create .4/.5 bar and sounded liek the screamer pipe was working very early and dumping all pressure.. Have tried playing about with the boost controller, have read throught the manual , but doesnt give much info..have tried with feeds form 2 places ( manifold and intercooler)..and checked allpiping ,all fine.. but boost feels stonger but still get this "CUT" ....have spoken to the lads mapping the car and say it has no cuts mappd into the map. Has anybody got any ideas on what i could try next..Because im a bit stumpted.... is there any thing else i can try?? BTW..amd running a Profec Boost Controller as fitted in Japan..also all work was carried out in japan except the injectors and new ecu and map... Hope some one can help Cheers
Dragonball
Sounds strange to be a controller problem - so with it off and with wastegate only it still only make 0.5? You sure the wastegate itself isn't knackered?
Jap Scene UK
Yer tis very odd... i intially thought it was down to the map..but maybe not...the car has run 1.5/1,6 in the past nps Yer..with all the pipes to the Boost Controller Unit unpluged and the electrical feed disconnected and just leaving the Top Port to the W.G venting so to speak It sounds as if its dumping the pressur every early... as you can hear the screamer pipe working..very early on... So yer could be a knackered w.g..in which case looksliek ull be having more money off me..jeez cant be bad! Is it worth trying a bleed valve inplace on of the B.C unit with the pipe connect up to the top port and a pressure feed (intercooler pipe)? Thanks mate.. Matt... Jurgen-Jm-Imports
if u dont get anything sorted i can bring my t88 in few weeks time up and you can check the plumbing on mine to see if that helps thats all i can advise dont really want to comment in something am not to sure on, but if u could try eliminating things with the wastegate or solenoid next, before you spent more money. a trip to envy is not too far from you ?? Miguel
Vac pump test the WG and make sure its all ok. I thought TDI would have solved this problem in 5 minutes TBH.

Matt Yeah it would do ..the BC is then adding pressure to the back of the WG holding it shut.
