Paul Laing
Anyone know where the clutch cable is next to the engine? When i put my clutch down a little bit theres a tiny (hardly noticable) squeek from the engine. Just needs a bit WD40 on it to loosen her up a bit! Anyone had this happen, or know where to locate the clutch cable? Cheers Paul
mos
There is no clutch cable its fluid operated, the resevoir next to the brake resovoir is where the clutch fluid goes. I would imagine that the squeeking is coming from the push rod or the ball joint. The push rod you will see connected to the pedal, If you check and the noise is coming from under the car then check on thr passenger side and you will see the ball joint where the rod pushes out to release the clutch. There is a rubber boot over the arm that then goes into the clutch housing. Grease all these parts and hopefully the squeek will go.
Paul Laing
it is that part, when i put a screwdriver in the gap it stops. Iv'e greased all the parts but after a while the sqeeking starts again! Can you replace these parts? I havn't been able to grease inside the rubber housing mind, i havn't got a ramp Paul
Supra_Al
......i had exactly the same squeak on mine from what you have described. It was coming from the release arm joint area under the rubber boot.Just jack up the car front left, fit an axle stand, pull off the boot.I used 'spray grease' with the straw type attachment to get the grease on the exact spot.Get someone to depress the clutch a few times as you spray, job done.
