Ok bods! When in park (auto) and when I push brake pedal now get a clicking sound.

Dosn't happen in any other gear, so suspect it is to do with device that only lets you move out of park when brake pedal is depressed.

What is this and how do i change it before it goes kaput!!

Thanks

:D :D

It unlocks the Shifter I thought via a solanoid.

yup

Mine also clicks when you press the brake and then clicks again when you let off the pedal in park or do you mean yours is going rat tat tat all the time when holding the pedal in park?

It's probably just the doobry getting a bit old and clicking a bit more. Mine does it, and judging by the other replies so does everyone else's. Can't see it being anything to worry about (and even if it does go, thinking about it what's it going to mean? That you can move it out of park without your foot on the brake? Not really a big deal is it?). I wouldn't worry matey.

Nah mate it is to allow you to get the car out of Park whilst the engine isn't running.

Found it useful to move car slightly when cleaning wheels or to get the gear know position right to remove the centre consol panel!!

PS welcome to the pleasure dome!!
