monkey3
ok, what was his definition of a merkin? cos in my book and the books of most people who have books, it's a fanny wig.
penguin
Not censorship, just maintaining the decencey of the beautiful English Language. Yes but i have to disagree... language is always something that’s evolving... we don't speak Shakespeare’s english anymore.
Jake
ok, what was his definition of a merkin? cos in my book and the books of most people who have books, it's a fanny wig. Yeah. But when some yanks says "I'm American" it sounds like "I'm a merkin"

Miguel
Yeah. But when some yanks says "I'm American" it sounds like "I'm a merkin" So they are basicaly saying " hi i'm a cnut"? or " i'm from the fake hair over biffens bridge"?
Pete
Yes but i have to disagree... language is always something that’s evolving... we don't speak Shakespeare’s english anymore. I agree, but we don't speak complete incomprehensible bollocks either. This isn't evolution.
penguin
ah but whats incomprehensible bollocks to one may be "best form of communication" for another.... matter of opinion really.
RedM
What, he called anyone a merkin, even non-yanks? Yeah, he did because that way he could insult people (by calling them a pubic wig) without most people cottoning on.
Guest MAQ
The reason for snoop changing words to end in izzle was so that he could say what he wanted in his raps and it still rhyme... 'I been doing the bizzle, for shizzle my nizzle' sounds better than 'I have been doing the business, for sure my good chum' poor joke coming up... Why does snoop dogg carry an umbrella? . . . . . . . . . . . . For the drizzle! quite correct monkey, but the main aim was to be able to say what he wanted, without worry from the censors board. when he first started they couldnt try and ban a song because of what they thought he was saying, and so it stuck. Rather pioneering i think. Bending the rules........LOL But then it caught on, and therefore now most rappers do it and it doesnt have the same effect......... ...........not to mention that every "WIGGER" does it 100,000 times a day. but then its probably "how it goes down in da ghetto, innit!!!!!" which, incedently, is where the majority of the population live throughout the country
