veilsideTT
Just fitted my shinny new Blitz Nur spec cat back system at the weekend! Must say that’s one impressive piece of equipment. Built perfectly and fitted like a glove, sounds awesome! Anyway, I was wondering what sort of BHP gains would I be looking at getting from this Mod?? I have left the cats in place and have no other modifications, apart from a HKS SSQV. Would it be more beneficial for me to get an aftermarket induction system to get the air flowing a bit more freely? Or will that not make any BHP gains on top of the gains I get with the system itself? Cheers, Scott.
TRD3000GT
should be getting 10-15 bhp with NUR spec. (non cat back) Better gas flow then stock. An induction kit will also give you about 5 BHP .. and a much more satisfying growl.
outatime
A Blitz Nur-Spec catback will give you 37.3bhp No, I havent got a clue what sort of BHP you'll be putting out but it should have upped your boost to about 1 bar- quicker and harder spooling turbos are the main bonus. Get one, or preferably, both of the cats out for the same gain again. It'll sound meatier as well. You'll need a fuel cut defender (VFCC) if you want to boost over ~1 Bar. Do a search. A boost gauge would also be a good investment to keep an eye on things, especially if you de-cat. J-Specs can overboost. Losing the cats will make way more of a difference than a filter. After market induction kits tend to filter badly and suck in hot air from the engine bay - the stock one is fine but quiet.
veilsideTT
TRD3000GT Am i to take it that "non cat back" is just the back box or does that mean without the cats in place? I have a boost gauge (forgot to mention!) was boosting at 0.7 have seen it go to 0.9 a couple of times since fitting the system. OUTATIME 37.3 BHP sounds an awfull lot for just an exhaust with the cats still in place. where did you sorce that information from, i hope its true!!!! :)
TRD3000GT
non cat back means that the center box / muffle is still in place.. this adds to restriction and sound! have a look uner the car see if you can see a center box under the rear axle
Steve W
I love mine TOO.... but..............and fitted like a glove........ ??? If you mean "hangs down low in a straight line, not bothering to even make a hint of an attempt to tuck up into chassis " then, yes MINE fits like 'glove' too ! ! If you meant it just bolts-up and hangs off the 2 hangers.... OH YES... fits like glove yours, call-a-'Dangly-Thing'-a-'Dangly-Thing'-FatS. veilsideTT
STEVE W I’ve had aftermarket exhausts on other cars before and most of them needed the brackets bending and various other mods to make them fit. was just impressed by the quality of the system and how easy it fitted. Ok so it hangs down slightly (a lot!) but nice to see all that shinny stainless steel from the back of the car eh! TRD3000GT I get it now. I have the cat back system then (Two pieces) OUTATIME I mentioned your comments down the local last night and was promptly told "he's taking the piss Scott" Good call! Cheers for all your comments people! Happy Boostin !
400BHP
I shall be taking delivery of my NUR spec soon I hope, I have bought the second cat removal pipe but I have noticed a Lambda sensor on the exhaust pipe, will this stay on? if not what do I do with it because it not giving a reading to the ECU will surely balls up the fuelling from the management system. Also there seems to me a ginourmous heat sheild running most of the length of the middle section, any ideas?

Dont worry about the numbers, feel the difference :flame Dev
