AJI
I am right in thinking that the side-skirt body-kits from J.I.C. will fit both J-spec and UK-spec Supras? There isn't any length changes between J-spec and UK-spec? AJI
Lee Hockley
I can't imagine so. Generally they are the same car, minus a few changes, but nothing as drastic as body size. The kits have been seen on both types and they make only one size. (Edited by Lee Hockley at 1:45 pm on Feb. 4, 2002)
Syed Shah
Be carful, the JIC kits are very hard to fit right, and real veilside stuff fits better.

Its definitely true that the JIC kits are often a pain in the arse when it comes to fitting, especially the nosecones. However, from what I hear even the genuine Veilside stuff is not perfect. Syed Shah
Ahh yes, even normal Veilside stuff is a pain to fit, so imagine the pain of a copy!!!!!!! AJI....... if you want the kit, go original, they are hard enough as it is, and the normal kits aren't much more anyway.
Mark Ayling
Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was recommending a copy - I've got a Veilside-a-like on my Supe and Ash spent the best part of two weeks "reshaping" it so it fitted properly. Its absolutely spot-on now but if I was buying another and had the choice then obviously I'd go for an original. Its just a money thing really, whatever you can afford or are willing to pay... Branners
If he can find the part numbers for the stock plastic side skirts then I would love to know what it is. So many have tried and so many have failed to get the right part.... JB

I think original Toyota side skirts are like rocking horse poop!!!! I don't think you can get them over here, along with the rear flares they were a Jap factory option. When my car got hit in a carpark, I needed flares, could not get new ones anywhere, even offered to pay with chickens teeth. I have two stock flares in need of repair if required.
