michel lane
i have some new laptops which are available , as some of you know I own an I.T consultancy company, we deal mainly in server platforms and network installations . We have recently done an install for a architeture company, the laptops they have purchase will not run the software that they are intending to use. so they have asked me to see if I could sell them on . I have contacted the laptop distributor and they have informed me that the warranty will be transfered to the new owners , due the the 1 week the comany has had them. spec : 15.2 wide screen XGA Intel celeron 1.5 gig 512 meg DDR memory CDRW / DVD 30 gig hard drive Wifi Usb carry case/ charger 64 meg SiS graphics card integrated Price : £500 17 inch wide screen XGA TFT Intel pentium 2.6 gig 512 meg memory DVD/ CDRW ATI 128 meg 9600 graphics card (plays doom3 very well ) Memory Card reader Wifi built in TV / remote control Floppy drive price £700 15 inch screen TFT Intel 2.4 gig celeron 512 meg memory DVD/ CDRW floppy Serial ports 64 meg SIS graphics card integrated price £

I want to use it for video editing (on the move) using premiere, some gaming (long periods) and for transfering prints and writing them onto DVD or CD! Maybe interested in the £700 job...has it got a flash card reader? (not essential) also how many fans has it got..i.e how long can it be run for when gaming? Also yeah whats the model number and make and how much hardrive space? Cheers Si

blert596
Michael, Any more details or pics on these? Whats the hard drive size on the 17 inch one. Are they branded? Do they come with XP or pro? Do we get a disk? Interested as I may need one for a new job. Cheers Billy
michel lane
wondered were my thread had gone to , just found it . The 17inch has a 40 gig drive in it . It also comes with a DVDrw not a CDRW.Ill get some pics later tonight. The license for each of the laptops are kept by the company , They are preinstalled with XP pro , but would have to get a license for it to run after the 30 day period. here is the link from where they bought it from: http://fortunetechnology.co.uk/. and its the D47EV- INSILVER BUT THIS MODEL HAS THE 9600 NOT 9700 ATI
