Maxx
I'm looking at replacing my suspension bushes soon and would like some feedback from anyone who has the R2 Racing (TM Engineering) Poly bushes from MVP fitted to their car. Is the ride much harsher, have you experienced any squeaks or noise from them, were they easy/accurate fit etc? Thanks in advance Maxx
colsoop
As in the ones from MVP? I have these on my car. I have driven approx 600 miles on these since i have had them and they have tightened up the saggy feel that the front end used to have. So far i have not heard any squeaks from them but i drive probably less than 50 miles a week in the old girl so i can't really say as yet. The ride is harsher over bumps, but through the corners it is very composed, mated with the OE bilstein dampers and eibach springs. I have a feeling the ride would be a little better if i removed the stiff eibach springs i have on the car at the moemnt and went back to stock. The garage i got to fit them said they fitted fine, the issue is getting the old bushes out.
Soonto_HAS_soop
I have these front and rear now, but I can't really comment on the harshness as I upgraded to HKS coilovers at the same time. They don't squeak on mine - but they might start after time. Definitely better than the older sloppy ones. Not to be considered a beginner DIY job mind! Maxx
Colsoop, yeah the ones from MVP, I think burning the old ones out will probably be the way i'll go. Don't suppose you have a pick of them before they were fitted do you? I undestand the original Toyota rubber ones are in a metal sleeve thats pressed in, I'm assuming these R2 ones use the old sleeves that are left behind after burning out the rubber? Soonto Think I'll be okay, wouldn't class myself as a beginner DIY, but thanks for the warning though. Just replaced my front wheel bearings and that's not the most friendly job either. colsoop
Yep burning them out will do it, i dont have a pick unfortunately. I think that the poly bushes have their own metal sleeves but i can't remember.
Maxx
I've emailed Dusty at MVP so hopefully he'll be able to tell be whether they have new casings/sleeves.
Soonto_HAS_soop
They have there own metal sleeves, the OEM ones must be taken out first.
