daveyboy
ive been trying to get more boost ,cats out induction kit ect, could only get 0.8 bar. so i tried the t bleed wastegate mod to see what would happen. bearing in mind i havnt got a fcd i thaught tyhat it would overboost and cut out. how wrong was i? very. boost gauge went up to 1.1bar then nothing. pulled up checked all pipes, all ok. checked bov.nothing!!. fuel cut light didnt come on but ive reset ecu. still nothing. dips into minus but wont boost.just makesb a horrible whinning noise.car doesnt smoke still. so i take turbos are f****d .could this be why i couldnt get any more boost with the other mods. ive been told that the cermac turbos are no good. i think ive just lost them out of the exhurst daveyboy
Guest Martin F
Sounds like your turbo's have gone south. Maybe they were on their way anyway that was why you have been loosing boost. Time for hybrids.

Ceramic Turbo's are great as are ceramic ball baring systsems - but once you start to push them outside their operating envelope what do you expect them to do? dude
Its cool air cause i have a nice FMIC that keeps it all under control John:flame Dev
Guest Terry S
So your FMIC gives you cool air at the header! That's a good trick;) Seriously John, that is too high, maybe not for the turbos ( although it bet they are struggling) but the car's probably detting like a bast*rd & you can't hear it because of your shiny exhaust & Perry Como CD. dude
Its costing a fortune in octane booster and i dont do sustained flat out runs at that boost but its sooooo handy for teaching those skyline and bike boys a lesson :) John:flame Dev

Before getting into turbo have a REALLY PROPER look at all hoses and pipe juntions between the turbo pack and the intake manifold. I do mean a PROPER look, tug and check hose clip tightness, squeeze hoses to look and feel for splits, check intercooler and hoses to it too. Also check BOV for leaks or general malaise.
