how_supra
I'm an A! Naughty naughty! Yeah I know but initially I was only stopping for 6 weeks, so I didn't see the point. [plus my car was off road for 5 weeks of that at a garage]
Aerotop Dave
B here. Just looked up Anfield (L4) - it's a refer. Not surprising as it has the highest house insurance premium in the country.

how_supra
I don't think it makes too much difference. I moved from a C to a B at Uni and my insurance didn't change.

michael
It's not just about risk, it also takes into account the number and value of claims made in the area. It only takes one rich toff to crash his DB9 into his collection of rare exotics and everyone pays the price
Suprasteve
not sure i get it CM1 = Chelmsford = A CM15 = Shenfield = D I live near both these areas, the majority of Chelmsford are lovely but there are some parts that should have a 10 foot wall built around them. Where as in Shenfield the cheapest house is £1m+ and possibly one of the nicest places in Essex the type of place i'd dream of owning a house in but only gets a D ? where do they get their figures from ? RedM
I'm sure this has been discussed before. I made the point at the time that, in my village, we had only one act of minor vandalism, on attempted theft from a shed and the theft on ONE alloy wheel last year. But we are classed as part of Wakefield and hence suffer because of it.

Value of 1 new lambo stolen claim in Shenfield (and that means owners not necesarily meaning the car was stolen from the home) mucho huge claim.
