Paul Laing
Iv'e had offers from different people about LSDs but i'm not sure which one to go for, Auto or TT manual for my N/A manual. Will an Auto one have better radio's? Can anyone help me before i buy one?

paulrenn
Mate, if it's a better radio you want, you need to speak to Nice Matt This is the sort of question that not many people would have experience to answer. The safest would be to find one off the same model as yours, i.e. N/A manual of same year. Did you speak to Celica Breakers yet? Their number is 01579 383879. You count (as in physically count 1, 2 , 3) the pinion and crown wheel teeth on your buggered diff, and get the potential supplier to do the same, if they tally the crown wheel and pinion should fit, DO NOT just rely on codes or tags. If yours has an LSD get one that also has one. BE AWARE changing a CWP into your axle casing will require accurate measuring and a good knowledge of diff tooth pattern set up. It will far easier to buy an axle complete. I am not sure you appreciate the difference between an LSD and crown wheel and pinion, there is a site called "How thingswork" that may have a pictorial guide, unless you can see how these gubbins function it will be hard to understand just what is wrong and what you need, and why. HTH.
Paul Laing
it's just the diff thats gone. thats what i'm being sold by the garage. I spoke to Leon who iv'e ordered my new LSD from and he recommended a one from an Auto which would match the ratio better than a TT. Leon said that it comes as a whole unit that you replace. nobodys mentioned casings or anything like that. It's just the diff thats gone on it.
