jayssupra
Just picked my car up from the paintshop after getting front bumper sprayed, car now has a noise comming from 1st turbo on spool up, when i looked at the intercooler it is covered in silver paint, i asked the owner if he removed the bumper to spray it he said no, could this paint on the intercooler cause the noise on spool up, also car has done 19 miles while in garage. boost is down from 1.2 bar to 0.9 bar. Pixelfill
also car has done 19 miles while in garage Sounds like someones been taking the piss. I can't think of a reason why your car could have done 19 miles while being painted. Time to ask what the reason is? Is it possible that during these 19 miles someone has damaged the engine? I'd be furious in your situation and would be demanding an explanation. Can't believe they didn't take the bumper off to spray it. That's just plain lazy, have you got any overspray ? Pig
You need to find the problem with the car and then take it back and explain what they have done and also get the spray work fixed. Sorry to hear they have done this
Guest gzaerojon
i'd be p!ssed if it were me, i'd be down there demanding compensation. or don't they own an oven or socket set and dry the paint by thrashing customers cars down the road. are they a propper spraying company? AMG
I got the death whine after taking my soop to TOYOTA to have my clutch fixed. The mechanic even commented that he was surprised how quick it was

UltraFlynn
MAte I would be going crazy, go in there AND DEMAND AN EXPLANATION I'd also be livid. I'd get down there with a list of what you think has been done, go through each with them and demand that they do something about it.
AntD
OMG can't believe this.I get paranoid everytime I have to leave my car somewhere to be worked on and I actually let the mechanic know that I've recorded the mileage or I just take time off work to stay at the garage while they work on my baby which is a PITA at times.Hope you get this sorted mate.If you can proof its their fault they will have to cough up to have it fixed simple as that. (But also refuses to fit sh1t parts...which is understandable.)
JohnA
As said, they probably thrashed the car with cold engine. Expensive to fix if that's the case, you should have made it absolutely clear that the car was not meant to be driven AT ALL (making it an essential part of your agreement) Just in case you're lucky though, check for any loose boost pipes that might be responsible for the noise (although that wouldn't explain the 19 extra miles)

JohnA
That is not smart, you still risk them abusing it (even if they take a can of fuel along) PLUS you risk them damaging the fuel pump (not happy running dry)
