daveyboy
i have just got both my turbos sorted . i thaught vsv was knackard but after close inspection i found the two pipes in wrong order. so at the mow i am putting out 0.8 bar ,with both cats gone 2.5" down pipe no middle box and a jasma rear box. it also has hks induction kit fitted. is this now the correct amount of boost i am getting at the mow. how can i easily get a bit more boost . (safely) and putting out 332 bhp at the mow. thanx daveyboy
dude
With both cats gone you should be boosting a LOT more than that (0.8bar) in fact most NORMAL people are looking to restrict their boost with your mods , sounds like your only getting boost on 1st turbo still John:flame Dev
daveyboy
first cat was gutted but still has the can then i put a dowm pipe on with no second cat. i can feel second turbo cutting in and i can feel the power boosted. i thaught it was a bit low????? what could be the problem????? Sharpie
Hmmmmm Are you UK spec ? With those mods I was only putting out 0.9bar before I turned it up :flame Dev I'm sure 0.8 is stock boost ? and fuel cut at 14 psi (0.965 bar) ? I can never remember. daveyboy
so will i gain more boost with a boost controller???
daveyboy
i always thaught boost controllers only controled the amount of boost already being made ???
qaisar
no my understanding is that boost controllers can only be used to raise the boost, not reduce or 'control' it.
Thorin
maybe a boost leak somewhere.
