Guest mugenzi
Hi all, Need to put a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm/immob on my Supra for insurance purposes. Am wanting to get a Clifford G5 650, but for £380 (fitted) I only get a choice of one of the following three sensors: - Ultrasonic interior movement sensing - Dual-Zone Proximity which includes external warn-away zone - Combined Glass Tamper and Tilt & Motion sensor package From your experiences, what is the most valuable option to choose? Thanks all, Dan
Guru
Ultrasonics all the way. Much more reliable and doesnt' attract too much attention. The glass and tilt sensors will be an add on to the first two so watch the price doesn't hike up
Gaz Walker
I've got the bottom 2. Ultrasonics are reliable but only any good once someone smashes your bloody window Gaz.
MKIVDreamer
I have the proximity - but thats so I can still arm it properly with the lid off. Ultrasonic doesn't like wide open spaces
Vagnum
I've got the Dual-Zone Proximity which includes external warn-away zone, had it on my past 2 cars also good for waning people away when there getting to close

veilsideTT
Proximity here also! Then after a while add on tilt and motion and/or glass tamper! You can buy the sensors from ebay (directed electronics now owns clifford i think) then fit them your self if you know where the brain is!
michael parker
I have the bottom two, DEFINITELY go for the dual zone proximity, whats the use of the inside only being alarmed...they would have to break in to find out it'll go off. With the dual zone, it'll obviously warn them first. Im sure it would make some of the little thieving chavs think again when nosing through your drivers window and it beeps at them!!!
