Daston
Ok Richy I'm 21 with 2 years no claims and I pay £850 with Lancaster. Thats 6000miles a year SD&P it covers my aftermarket sideskirts and my alloys plus their valuation service is great. Oh mine is a Import non Turbo however they did say it wouldnt be alot more for a TT
chris aka fonz
Welcome , i think im right in saying that it is sometimes cheaper to insure a TT than it is to insure an N/A , stupid i know . Good look with the hunt .
chilli
I'd say not many weaknesses, but if you get a modded one, make sure it's all been done properly because any damage could be v.expensive to put right. Also check the specs (they vary a lot) and consider that in the overall price. mpg, well for a TT it's probably sub 20mpg, be prepared lol, no idea for an N/A for insurance, all I can say is shop around a lot, seems to be a lot of variation in insurance premiums, check the club scheme too and welcome

tbourner
I'm 23 with 6 years NCB, clean license, still paying £1280 fully comp!! Some people find cheaper some don't. A UK TT will be cheapest and will be cheaper than an NA!! Most things that go wrong are pretty cheap, as long as your turbos aren't going you should be alright, but get someone (on here?) to go look at a car with you to check it over, and preferably do an HPI check and AA/RAC check.
