I was ment to buy some fully synthetic oil but accidently ended up getting some semi-synthetic... will it be ok in a standard TT, or should i exchange it for some fully synthetic??? If you havent put it in yet then it might be good to change it for peace of mind. Toyota use semi synthetic when they service the car I believe. If its your pride and joy then no matter of age the right choice of synthetic will always help reduce wear and protect the engine. If the car is a just a run around and only intended to be kept for a few years then using a basic semi or mineral oil is fine. Cheers. Simon. Peace of mind certainly doesn't come cheap - but it's worth knowing that there's one less thing that could go wrong under the bonnet.
