Semi-synthetic oil...

It wont cause it to blow up or anything it just wont do it any favours. If you havent put it in yet then it might be good to change it for peace of mind.

 

Toyota use semi synthetic when they service the car I believe.

To be honest it depends on how much you value the car.

 

If its your pride and joy then no matter of age the right choice of synthetic will always help reduce wear and protect the engine.

 

If the car is a just a run around and only intended to be kept for a few years then using a basic semi or mineral oil is fine.

I'm not knowledgable enough to stick up for it - so Nismo, you WANNA get some Sylkolene Pro S - that stuff is DA BOMB. OILMAN does some really good prices on here. ;)
