CJ
Peter if you mean the 2 files I sent you, they will open with Adobe Acrobat. Do you have Acrobat on your computer?
Pig
you have to click on the name not the paper clip

CJ
I have sent him 2 PDF files. It may be because he hasn't got Acrobat on his PC.
Branners
OE6 has a wierd setting that stops you opening attachments sometimes... perhaps post a screen shot of the page so somebody can point to what you need to click. JB
chilli
can't you just drag the icons to the desktop to save them and then open them?

Jake
yes ,removed it I'm not sure if you should be able to open the attachment or not now. OE6 might have already removed the attachment, in which case you would need the sender to resend it. Try it: Select the email in the preview pane, click the paperclip, Click the attchment's filename. It should show you something like this :
peter richards
getting there slowly lol, where do i direct the attatchments to jake mate it doesnt show that option
chilli
save them anywhere but preferably in a known place like the c drive or the desktop (remember where though) and then open them up, hopefully bobs your uncle...
Jake
When you clicked the paperclip, did it give you 2 options? (The attachment's filename and 'Save Attchments...') If you click the filename after clicking the paperclip it will show the menu I attached in post 17 but if you click the 'Save Attchments...' (after clicking the paperclip) it will ask where you want to save the file. your Desktop will do for the moment. After you have done that, go to your Desktop and see if the file is there. chilli
you need the application installed to run it, i.e. adobe acrobat if its a .pdf, you can just download it from the net
