Matt 6
I am starting to get fed-up with this noise I have. I herd it in my mates Supra too but since it was his and I didn't drive it much it didn't really bother me!! In dry weather I get a really loud creak/squeak from the rear end, once the car is wet it goes. I have treated the boot rubbers with a paste that we use at work for convertible roof squeaks and that has made no difference at all. Is it a comon noise and if so what the hell is it?????? How do I cure it???
michael parker
I think i get a similar noise, only when i go over rough road surface, motorways etc are fine. I've not done anything about it though.

Pig
Ill second that. just had mine done. The screws had to be drilled out but that sounds like what the noise is. There only about £15 from toyota aswell. Bargain lol
Guest Glowin
My Soop does it too. It seems to stop when I've got a boot full though and I can go some trips without it ever happening. Nothing a couple of turns on the volume knob wont fix though.

TLicense
I get a squeaky type thing even though I've changed the boot rubbers. My squeak is the polystyrene tool holder.
Matt 6
Had all the boot trims and tool kit stuff out and it still does it. It isn't the boot rubber as I have treated that with a soft-top paste that cures stuff like that on our cars at work, and trust me we have some of the most picky customers in the world!!!!!!!!!!! VIL
In some cases could it also be where the rear seat hinges? In my old car the rear seats used to squeak a bit where the seat hinged and locked into place?

Paul -C-
Try placing some little bits of card between the boot rubbers. If it stops then you know it's the rubbers.
