Has any one ever experienced a burning plastic smell coming from the engine? More to the pasengers side??? I first thought it was coming from the charcoal canister?

The smell seems to be getting worse over the last couple days to the extent of it now being strong outside of the car once ive parked up! PLEAE CAN ANYONE HELP?

Could it be caused by low oil levels? Wrong oil for this colder time of year? Coolant?

Thanks for the help.

how about checking all wiring around the ECU area to be safe. i have noticed similar smells before and first thing i check is the ecu wiring as although im confident ive done a good job of wiring in all the little aftermarket gadgets, you have to remember that the passenger is always pushing their feet down on this area too. worth a look for piece of mind anyway. ive never actually found any problems
