toyotasuprauk
When I click the 'mkivsupra.net' name in my internet explorer favourites list, from today I get this message in the attached picture. I then click it again and its ok, anyone else getting this?
Pixelfill
I get a 404 for the URL in your address bar, just update your favourite to point to the main website and you should be fine. http://www.mkivsupra.net rather than http://www.mkivsupra.net/profile.php Mike
mawby
Well the error doesn't surprise me as http://www.mkivsupra.net/profile.php doesn't exist. Never has done since I've been maintaining the site so I'm surprised it error worked. I'd suggest deleting the favourite, navigate to http://www.mkivsupra.net/ and re-add it. Also ensure the "Remember Me" box is checked when you log in too.
toyotasuprauk
Sorry I just typed that in, the actual address in my bar is: http://www.mkivsupra.net/bbs/ This appears then redirects me to /profile.php address in the picture above. Timwildman
i've been getting this too, it seems to be re-directing to http://www.mkivsupra.net/profile.php
mawby
Sorry I just typed that in, the actual address in my bar is: http://www.mkivsupra.net/bbs/ No, the bbs part was dropped a while ago. It's still there as a re-direct for all those sites that had linked to the bbs URL. Just point your browser at http://www.mkivsupra.net, or if you want to by-pass the front page go to http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb

mawby
Actually it does but just not all the time.I wonder if this is some strange caching problem. Can you try deleting your temporary internet files and cookies and see if that helps.

Guest mentalfx
This sounds very familular to me. Last week one if my clients had a simular problem. The server admin needs to check to make sure it's not been compromised, chkrootkit etc. If it's what I think it is then it's a server hijack by an adware/spyware type company. First thing for the site admin to check is the .htaccess file and make sure there's no dodgy code in there redirecting the page. Also make sure "option -Multivew" isn't in .htaccess file. Check the file against a backup copy and also see when the file was last modified and by who. If there's a load of files created by user apache or nobody then the server/site has most likely been compromised. There's so much of this going on, it's mainly because of insecure server scripts or old software that's not been patched to current security levels. Hope I'm wrong cuz it's a real pain in the arse. mawby
OK people, I've traced the source of the problem. The server has NOT been hacked. There is some code run by the forum which automatically changes your time between GMT and DST if the option is set in your profile - look for "DST Correction Option". However, the URL used is relative to the forum, but the homepage is a level above this and therefore the relative URL is no longer valid. This is obviously an oversight by the developers of the homepage code and I'll attempt to fix it now.
mawby
Fixed in under 5 minutes! Let me know if anyone still has a problem.

Duane. Um, the server is running Zeus webserver, not apache. It says that on the picture in the first post.
