Pig
since fitting my decat i have noticed a superb increase in performance. The journey home was fine even though ripping the so and so out of the car. However the next day i have had over boosting problems. I dont have a boost gauge so i am presuming as, it feels like i hit a very hard rev limiter that this is the fuel cut thing me. I have spoken to terry and he is onto getting me a fuel cut defencer. Need to know if any other uk owners have experienced any similar problems and also if it possible to tempararily fit a boost gauge to check i am safely boosting once this is on. if any one has a second hand one lying around they could lend me or i could buy please let me know. p.s sorry for long post. Seb
Afaik UKs don't overboots on their own - or at least they shouldn't. They'll hit around 1bar, but won't go all the way to 1.2bar, but seeing as the standard fuel cut is set for 1bar, iirc, then it's feasible you're hitting the fuel cut. SimonB
You're not going to mistake fuel cut for anything else, you suddenly lose power, the warning light comes on and you think "shit, what the hell have I broken".
slick
With a full decat and NUR, my UK makes 0.9bar with the boost controller set to 0. A boost gauge is a must m8 so get that either way.

Alex
Can the UK spec's disconnect the MAP just like I have on my VVTi to remove fuel cut? Fuel Cut = Massive jolt/cut in power Missfire from extra boost = stuttering power delivery. If you're about on Tuesday we can test it if you want - just to be sure.
