Presumably no casing....

Now I see what you mean. In my numpty mode I assumed that an uprated LSD comes complete with the casing but have just realised that it comes as a seperate unit to be fitted to the existing casing.

So, no, it does not come with the casing - DOH!

Yes, I have an auto lsd fitted to my car but am thinking of upgrading to a TRD. I realise now I will need the casing so it is the "guts" that is for sale. I have no idea what it is worth though.
thats going to limit the sale a bit. you need to know if the internal parts will fit a non lsd auto diff.

I thought there were only 2 sizes of diff. This is what Terry S posted in an earlier thread:

"Guys The A style diff is the small diff. Buy the TRD Auto diff from the USA. The B style is the large one,, so buy the 6 speed diff from the US.

All 6 speeds have B type except the VVTi which is A

All Auto's have the A type except the UK's which AFAIK are B type.

An open diff can be changed to LSD this way".

Therefore any J-spec Auto should be ok.

thats good to know, still limiting your sale as lots of supras have lsd as standard. if you going to trouble of building a lsd in none lsd diff casing why not go the whole hog,

Cos not everyone can afford the £500+ for a TRD
