nickyboy
Here ya go... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=17672 I thought about doing this but in the end decided just to go for masking tape. I put a line of masking tape down the back of the caliper too which gave me a line to paint to. People have used hammerite on the calipers so this should def be fine on the hubs. Not sure about spray paint... anyone else?
Jspec Germany
I'll take pics as I remove and paint then post them here later.

DShox
thats well good! i paid about £20 for the cleaning and painting kit from the states - got seriously done on P&P. dont buy from the states unless the P&P is laid out first!!! how long do you really have to wait b4 you can drive after painting - the tin'll say about 24 hours but im hoping to take it somewhere 5 hours later for an alloy refurb... Jspec Germany
I've almost finished the rears tonight. Spent a good hour on prep alone, and have been very careful with masking, light coats, and drying time. Looking great so far. I'll post all the pics with a write up when I'm done. nickyboy
And now to bed!!!!!!!!! One piece of advice on the decals is not to "wet apply them" - I tried this on a couple and it was very tricky to peel off the tape on top of them. Much better to apply to dry surface. Jake
I'm surprised folks are now painting their J-spec brake calipers bright colours. Is it just me or does it look a bit odd?
nickyboy
Calipers too bright? Loud music gives you a headache? Can't understand the fascination with text messaging? ...
Jake
Calipers too bright? Loud music gives you a headache? Can't understand the fascination with text messaging? Nah, it's not the brightnes or the colour itself that I'm not sure about, it's that the weird gappy calipers look odd anyway and painting them just draws attention to it. The beefier UK ones look ok 'cos they're a solid looking caliper. Maybe it's just me
