TrickTT
I've just changed the plugs as part of servicing the car and noticed something odd. From reading the condition of the old plugs, No.1 cylinder(at the front) seems to be running very rich, then the cylinders lean off toward the back of the engine to No.6 which is slightly rich but nothing too bad. Any idea what causes this and how i can fix it:shrug: . Also i've read somewhere that cleaning the O2 sensor can help lean off mixture, but i cant find a thread about it on here. Fuelling is stock J-spec TT.
Alex
IMO You can't tell anything from plugs. No. 6 will run leanest as it's got the best air path. If you want to clean the O2 sensor buy some Lemon Juice from the supermarket and then dunk it in that over night (I then wash it off with Brake CLEANER (not fluid ) before putting it back in. This gets rid of the carbon deposits on it. Reset the ECU afterwards too...full battery disconnection
