terribleturner
Just seen this on Supra foums. The drivers car is bpu with the following "'93 Supra TT:RMM DP, GREDDY SP EXH, HKS FMIC,BCC, HKS EZ BOOST CONTROL,BL TRANS+3800 STALL,NITTOS." I just got back from MIR in Maryland. It was very crowded and I only got 4 passes. Three 11.5's and then an 11.42 I was still getting some spark blowout. Guess I'll gap the plugs down a little more. One car of note there was a Porshe GT2 with some mods. He ran a best of 11.59@125. Nice car. I tried to get a race with him but it was just too crowded. Anyway, here is the slip: R/T: .028(I can finally pull a decent light and still get an ok launch). 60' : 1.630 330' : 4.680 1/8: 7.256 MPH: 94.55 1000': 9.515 1/4: 11.425 MPH: 117.84 I was happy to finally get under 11.5 I think the run would have been high 11.3s without the spark blowout. I guess I will go back with some fresh plugs and find out. BTW, Conditions for the 11.42 run where 68 degrees, 270' DA air, car weight 3710 lbs with me in her. What's Nitto do you think?? Nitrous?? Why am i chasing 12's
Bobbeh
Nitto is a brand of tyre (drag radial).

CJ
The Nitto's and a well prep'd track will have helped enormously but IMHO the BL Trans is what really did the business. Until you have tried one there is no way you can realise what a difference it makes.
Jake
I think the good time is mostly down to the high stall torque converter. Look at the huge improvement MONKEYMark made in his time after fitting a high stall TC.

Suprasteve
excuse me for being a div but what i a BL box ? and is a torque convertor just for autos ? what does it do ?
CJ
A BL box is an uprated automatic gearbox supplied by Boost Logic via Vortex. The TC is explained here. http://www.bmracing.com/noflash/tech/torque.html
Gaz Walker
I rekon the box and stall is good for a second on the quarter? There was a video of a car with it fitted that doesn't lose boost at all between changes, that what gives the time advantage Gaz.
