Lucifer
As you might have seen im stripping my Sup and starting again. But instead of buying a load of new bold and screws, I would like to clean the old ones up to a new style finish. Does anyone have a tried and tested method for doing this, not afraid of spending some cash to achieve the desired results. Martin
Homer
Get hold of a few litres of paraffin mate, after a bit of a scrub in it (or a soak overnight) they'll be like new.

Paul -C-
Leaving them overnight in Coke is supposed to clean them right up.
Homer
It’s a cleaning method thats been used for decades, as far as I know it'll only removed oil, grease and rust from any metallic component without damaging it. It's a chemical reaction with the surface 'scum' so I can't see that it would affect the component itself.
