Lancaster Insurance & Modded Imports

Hello,

 

Are there any members here with a modified import jap supra that is insured with Lancaster Insurance (http://www.lancaster-ins.co.uk)?

 

I tried to get a quote for a modified supra (using Jurgens 95RZ spec) and they replied saying they wont insure modified imports.

This may be of use, i have read there are quite a few using Lancaster, maybe they already hit there quota this week!

Mines a modified Jap import and it is insured by Lancaster as a classic car

I was insured with them for 2 years under their classic car policy. Good company

well, i got a good qoute last week,

 

although, i didnt have that many performance mods

I was attracted by their 'classic car' insurance since its generally cheaper

 

Think I'll phone them next week and see if I get the same response (initially I used their online form).

hi try several insurances companys as this car is only mildy tuned in terms of modified the problem being is that insurance companys may think its hugely modded which is not just nice basic mods.
