Any NTL Broadband users fedup?

No point in having a 10 meg connection if you can only get 576 Kbps

That’s true, but with NTL I’ve always been able to get maximum bandwidth for the connection I've paying for. Unless its a slow site I always get 360kb/s download, same goes when using ftp to someone to a sufficiently fast upload.

I've never had bandwidth problems in the 3.5 yrs I've been with NTL. Only hope the 10mb connection doesn't overload them!

I've given up on NTL's webspace long ago, it was 'leaking' files every single day.

Now I pay a US-based ISP and found Nirvana (Gigabytes of space, Gigabits of bandwidth for just a few bucks)

Giving up on NTL's email too, I'm redirecting everything to Yahoo quite often. Even the NTL homepage can't load lately FFS...

Gave up on NTL's TV package long ago, SKY had better prices for more channels

Gave up on NTL's 'free' phone too

Only thing is that NTL hasn't given up on charging me for such crap, they often pull money from the direct debit for weird charges that their call centre cannot explain. I guess they try their luck randomly and if you complain they refund, if not well.... ;)

I have warned them now that if I ever find a rogue charge again I'll cancel my direct debit and replace it with a standing order.

We have the free phone line that comes with the ISP package but that's all.

I'm happy with the internet service and speed....it's just the sodding email that makes me angry.:swear:

I got two emails this AM when it was trying to work...then I got the same two emails again 30 secs later.... .....bless them....not :whip:

NTL Homepage is back up and running, so I checked out the "Service Status".

NTL Email is down globally due to a fault that's as yet unresolved but their engineers are working on it... :(

Checked out my webmail, but nothings got through to there either.

They're also having problems with NTL web pages.

Bloody useless. If I had a BT line I could use I'd have changed ISP long ago.

Never had a problem with NTL BB here but then i hardly use the mail.

Same here, and the only problems I did have were in the first year of them getting the technology installed and upgrading their system for the masses, back in 2000 I think that was.

I cant fault their service. I know others who have had problems though and have not found them to be particularly helpful, but I dont care, they look after me ok :)

I can't justify spending that much........besides.....I don't download Hi-res porn to utilise the maximum download speed...:D

Haha if you had 10mbit you'd find a way :D

I just like being able to get the stuff when I see it and not having to wait.. like if someone hosts a video on here, I dont have to go away for 20 mins doing something else as it downloads in a minute or two.

The only thing that still really annoys me is the upload, I want more than 35k a sec, its pathetic, especially as 10mbit down is like LAN. I know why they cap it but its annoying when trying to share files etc with others.
