Petrol Tank

Recommended Posts

I have a 93 J-spec TT Aerotop Auto. I've had the car over two years now, and I keep meaning to ask this question.

Question is simple enough!

How big is my fuel tank?????

The gauge regularly drops to the E, but I still only put 65 litres in. I don't think I've ever put over 70 in, but I thought it was an 80 litre tank.

Am I right or wrong???

Thanks

Steve

Ok, heres another for you. On the J-Spec tanks they have that reduced nozzle thing stuck in there, because in Jap land they have small skinny ones, and in the UK we have big fat ones, fuel pumps that is. Anyway I know you can pull out the nozzle reducer thingy, leaving more room for our UK nozzles.

But how do you get them out, as I have had a good tug at mine but it doesnt really seem to move anymore.

Anyone know.....

I didn't know J-spec ones have a smaller hole to the tank. Mine definitely doesn't and it's easy to fill up, so I guess it must have been removed at some stage.

My sister's Mk2 MR2 (UK) has a tiny hole and it's really hard to fill without the nozzle cutting out all the time. I'll have a look at the weekend and see if the restriction is removeable.

James.
