Guest kennyf
My auto box isn't changing up , when I stick it in manu made it does what its meant to do. reverse is also working fine? Is my box dying a death? I have most of my dash of but can't see that having any bearing it but thought best to mention because knowing my luck it would've been a key bit of information!! Any advice folks?
Terminator
Have you done a fluid level check. You may need a fluid drain and fill or even a complete flush.

Are you sure the right stuff went back in? Toyota type IV fluid only in the autoboxes.

Probably something to do with your Speedo or Odometer. The car doesn't know what speed it's doing and what gear to select. Most likely Speedo since my auto ran ok without the ODO. Just power steering that went to shit.
ManwithSupra
I had a Similar problem not to long ago with changing up in my Auto TT however this was after a jump start. I resetted the ECU let it relearn and its all ok now. It may be worth a go, as something may have caused a spike or a sudden dip in power that has screwed up the signals in the ECU. CJ
I wonder if it is related to you taking the AEM off and reverting back to a stock ECU. Does the stock ecu control the Auto box or is it a seperate ecu?
Guest kennyf
No buddy , I sorted this before i removed AEM , it was because the ODO display was disconnected, must need a complete circuit or something

Guest kennyf
I'm confused. I have been drinking though . Have you sorted it then? Yeah carlos after the below post ...Probably something to do with your Speedo or Odometer. The car doesn't know what speed it's doing and what gear to select. Most likely Speedo since my auto ran ok without the ODO. Just power steering that went to shit. ...... I pieced my odo back together and the box lived again! Then i removed the AEM and killed the entire car now!!

Does the stock ecu control the Auto box or is it a seperate ecu? Im sure the ECU does control the Autobox. I spoke to Miami GT on this subject when i had a problem with changing up with mine and they said that a ECU re-set may work. And guess what ..... it did !!! Has the problem been sorted yet ? Thanks to jay-450 I should be back on the road mid next week tho.
