...should i expect to pay for a full decat (already had a rear decat) and a restrictor ring ... all fitted?

 

Is it worth getting a boost controller? Can you only reduce the boost with the controller?

 

Oh and lastly... if i provide the gauge how much should i expect the fitting to cost? Would it be the same for dash and pod gauges?

People normally say that when you decat and put in the restrictor ring you should end up with about the same amount of boost.

Unfortunately the boost controller cannot decrease boost, hence the restrictor ring, it can only up it.

As far as I am aware the boost controller works in a similar fashion to a bleed valve, although a lot more technically, in that it effectively fools the ecu into thinking that it has not yet made full boost and so it needs to keep boosting before it opens the wastegate.

 

Although I could be wrong.

TRL FCD £82

Spark plugs £12-£60

 

Walbro fuel pump is a good idea £80

 

Plus maybe 4-5 hours labour , depends on who does it.
