rik Posted October 23, 2005 Share Posted October 23, 2005 I used to work for a custom painter, and he used to make his own candys. You take clear laquer and add any colour 'dye' to it and apply it over your base colour, then clear laquer the lot as a finish. Very time consuming and expensive. It was quite good fun experimenting with differant base coats, as the candy is semi transparent and whatever the base colour is affects the overall look.
