jackso11
Ok, after seeing lots of pics or 17", 18" & 19" wheels on your supras, hearing pros and cons of each, I have decided to go for 18"s.....but.....there are so many different suggestions for tyre size and wheel offsets on here! What are the best tyre sizes and wheel offselts for a n/a, and whill I need any spacers? Look forward to hearing your ideas people!
SupraHuman
i would go with 225 up front and 245 on the rear.i got that set-up on my car (N/A-T)with good year f1's in each corner.i did not use any spacers at all.
supragold
If you get the right width wheels and offset then you shouldn't need any spacers mate. Afraid I can't help with what offset is best for normal arches though.
merckx
Big fat tyres on the back look nice though!

supragold
Its all good saying what tyre sizes you have but it all comes down to what offset and what "J" wheels you need. Then sort out what tyres look best on the wheel size you have. If you've got standard arches then the offset is going to be different to mine for example with wider arches. Its all about how far you need the wheel to come out and how wide to fill the arch. Does anyone know what offset and "J" wheel they have on a N/A? Then talk tyre sizes. If you have a 10J then your looking at 285's but I'm guessing you'll need 9J on the rear with 265's and 8J on the front with 245's. But I'm not sure what offset would be best for this. I used to have 8J on the front with 245's which would rub but now have 9J and 265's which never rub and I haven't modified my arches at the front at all because I got a different offset. jackso11
What is the 8J and 9J? do you mean the depth of the wheel itself? as in 8" wide alloy, and 9"wide alloy?

Steve W
Does anyone know what offset and "J" wheel they have on a N/A? . All similar to TT's (the 16's and the 17's) The only debate is whether SOME N/As came with 225's front AND back in a few cases, but the brakes/arches/etc are same just some came with diff' rear wheels/tyres (??) Jake
Forget about the whole "J" business. Most folks that say a wheel is, for example "9J" or "8JJ" or "8½K", don't know what it means anyway. Apparently, it refers to the shape of the part of the wheel that will be inside the tyre and is way too complicated to expain or understand. As I understand it, it only really matters when you are trying to put the tyre on the rim. See the "Matching your tyres to your wheels" section of http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/tyre_bible.html for more details.
Darren
Order you wheels from a reputable knowledgable Supra trader and there should be no problem order from 'Jo Bloggs' down the road and expect a world of pain.......
Suprachargedtt
I used to have 8J on the front with 245's which would rub but now have 9J and 265's which never rub I know you have the overfenders but thats a damn wide front tyre

supragold
My front overfenders go straight on the old wheel arch of the wing. No modifing at all up front. If anything it brings the arch down. Only the back over fenders actually add any width to the car.
