If a car is currently running up to near 1000bhp on full boost and has 315/30/18 Toyo Proxes R888R rear tyres, what would be the nearest similar tyre to replace it with? The 315's are not available in the UK anymore,but I might be able to get some 295's.I have been thinking the 295/30/18 R888R's might be fine as this is the nearest size R888R's with the same profile. There is a bit of tramlining with the 315's actually and although some grip may be lost with the 295's, I did not think that this would be significant enough.The car is rarely driven in the wet and will not do more than 2000 miles a year.Any views on this please ?
