SUPRA4EVA
I need to feed some wires thru the door loom and it looked possible but it keeps catching in the loom so I gave up for the day... Can I remove the pin from the stopper and 1. swing the door out more to allow me to remove the bellows for better access and 2. put the pin it back on without issues? Or am I better unbolting it? mwilkinson
If you remove the pin, it will allow the door to open wider. The hinges in the doors have a stop to prevent the edge of the door fowling on the wing and base of the A pillar if opened wide. But I'd still be careful.

I was able to swing the door out more and it certainly helps. Also, do you know how easy it's to get wire from the passenger side to the drivers side or vice versa? I forgot to take a look in case there was a big hole under the dash...I hope there is lol
mwilkinson
Do you mean thread the new wires from one side of the dash to the other? You'll definately be able to thread a wire behind the dash from one side of the car to the other. As to how neat and tidy that willl be is a matter for you and your patience. As long as it's concealed I don't mind too much. So the dash won't have to be removed? I had a look at the driver's side well and it looks like there's space at the bottom (tunnel area) but right now I can't access the passenger side so can't tell 100%. mwilkinson
There's room to run the wire up behind the radio over the transmission tunnel.

Wow, I thought this would be the hardest part but it turned out to be the easiest. Sure enough, once you peel back the carpet there's so much room there, glad they did that! Getting the tape off the looms and trying to get the wire thru the doors was another story...
